In June 2012, Nine23 was founded with a clear and focused mission: to enable the individual to work securely and effectively, regardless of location or device. Thirteen years later, that mission hasn’t changed – but the scale and impact of what we deliver has grown beyond anything we could have imagined.
What began as a company specialising in enterprise mobility and secure mobile device management has evolved into a trusted provider of High Assurance Managed Services, supporting some of the most sensitive and critical national security, public safety, and government operations in the UK.
Reflecting on the Journey: A Timeline of Progress
Our journey has been shaped by meaningful partnerships and standout moments – from our first secure RAF deployment in 2013, to designing and managing services for the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Food Standards Agency (FSA), to supporting the Houses of Parliament and delivering sovereign services across Defence, Regulators, UK Government, CNI and Law Enforcement.
As Steve Jewell, our Chief Revenue Officer, put it:
“It’s worth looking back at the timeline to see how far we’ve come. Customers like the FCA and FSA have been with us for many years, which says a lot about trust and delivery.
Personally, I’m proud of how Nine23 has evolved – from mobile device management to services that are now vital to national security and public safety. But more than that, we’ve stayed true to our mission. It’s still about enabling the individual, and that mission matters more than ever.”
A People-Driven Company, Delivering National Impact
Technology is what we build, but people are who we build it for – and who we build it with. That’s something our newest team members feel immediately.
Paul, who joined Nine23 in September 2024, shared:
“When I joined, I knew I was stepping into a company with a strong reputation – but I didn’t expect to feel part of something so meaningful, so quickly.
What stands out is the collaboration, the shared sense of purpose, and the genuine drive to make a difference in the public sector and defence space.
I’ve been lucky to help shape the future of our High Assurance Managed Services, and that’s something I’m incredibly proud of.
As we celebrate 13 years, I’m grateful to be part of the journey. It’s about more than technology – it’s about trust, impact, and staying true to our mission to deliver secure, resilient, and sovereign outcomes for those who protect and serve.”
