How did we get here?
Our Story: A Veteran Owned Business
Nine23 was founded in 2012 by Stuart McKean, a former British Army Lynx helicopter pilot, with a clear mission: to bridge the gap between security and usability in enterprise IT. His experience as both an Infantry Soldier and Aviator highlighted a critical challenge – technology should empower, not hinder, those who rely on it to perform mission-critical tasks.
From a home office startup to a UK Sovereign, High-Assurance Managed Service Provider (MSP), Nine23 has evolved alongside the rapidly changing cyber threat landscape. We have adapted, expanded, and strengthened our capabilities to meet the growing security demands of HM Government, UK Law Enforcement, Defence Industry and their supply chains.
